Fanur Islamic Law Review (FILR) is a peer-reviewed, open-access journal dedicated to publishing original and high-quality research on Islamic law and its interactions with national legal systems, customary law, and contemporary socio-legal issues. FILR provides an academic platform for scholars, researchers, and practitioners engaged in the development, interpretation, and implementation of Islamic law across diverse legal and socio-cultural contexts, particularly in South-east Asia and beyond. All articles are published in English. FILR covers a broad range of topics, including Islamic jurisprudence and contemporary fiqh, Sharia economic law and ZISWAF (Zakat, Infaq, Sadaqah, and Waqf), Islamic family law and religious courts, legal pluralism and state–religion relations, Islamic constitutionalism and human rights, as well as the digital transformation of Islamic law and Sharia fintech.
